In addition to our daily meals, which continued throughout the summer, we were also able to provide meals for disadvantaged children.<\/p>\n
There is a kobudo martial arts training camp, which was held for the 26th time this year at the 4 mine in Delegyh\u00e1za. Organised by the Far Eastern Martial Arts Association, which has 600 members and is unique in Europe, this year again all the students from Hungary and neighbouring countries came to \u201efight with themselves\u201d.<\/p>\n
As tradition has it, in addition to the regular participants, the organisers invited 40 disadvantaged children, for whom the founder of this Hungarian martial art of Japanese origin - Andr\u00e1s Szab\u00f3 - personally gave them the opportunity to learn the art and to get into the system. The aim of the camp, which is also aimed at personal development, is to help them overcome the obstacles that separate them from reintegration into society.<\/p>\n\n
In the martial arts style, which is basically based on sword techniques, great emphasis is placed on the training of the mind, in addition to the training in the use of the sword and other weapons, during which the students learn respect, honour, humility and kindness from the masters. These teachings are indispensable both in the samurai system and in human communities where these values cannot surface because of psychological, social or other considerations.<\/p>\n
It is an honour for our organisation to support initiatives that help to achieve several noble goals at once.
