The World Day was established on 5 September, the day of the death of Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta.<\/strong> The day was also commemorated by our organisation, and we believe the event has significance not only for the organisations doing charitable work, but for all individuals.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Our Foundation's priority is to help the needy and families living in difficult circumstances, but on 5 September, we wanted to inspire everyone to do their bit for charity by holding a special food distribution in both Budapest and Eger catering outlets. By joining forces, by working together or by individuals supporting organisations, it is possible to effectively fight against disadvantage. We want to raise awareness of the fact that helping is not only the responsibility of aid organisations, but also the individual responsibility of each person.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tveger.hu\/hirekreszlet.php?hir=7771\">Food distribution on World Charity Day video &gt;&gt;<\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">On the occasion of the World Day, our organisation is also launching a Saturday meal service for people living in the central health and temporary accommodation facility of the Methodist Social Centre and Institutions of Budapest in the XIII district. The BMSZKI is the largest social service institution in the capital, and our organisation has been supporting its work for years. As a result, a complex, multi-faceted service can be created that fills a gap in the provision of weekend meals.<\/p>\n\n<p align=\"left\">The history of our food distribution mission also goes back to the centre of Mother Teresa's activities in Calcutta, where the founder of the programme, Srila Prabhupada, saw starving children and asked the devotees to feed the needy at least within a 10 km radius of Krishna temples. The resulting Food for Life programme has become known in Hungary as Meals for Life, with a special focus on feeding children. The extraordinary character of Srila Prabhupada and Mother Teresa of Calcutta, her selfless care for the needy, is an example for all of us, their views and teachings on compassion and responsibility are in harmony. Through their lives, they have embodied charity and true humanity.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>For our organisation, every day is World Charity Day, as we need helping hands every day of the year.
