In Eger, our local volunteers distribute 750 meals every weekday to those in need. However, this number isn\u2019t just a figure\u2014it involves significant logistics, daily organization, and transportation tasks. In addition to the main distribution site in Eger, meals are delivered to Egerszala, B\u00e9ketelep, to the temporary shelter for local families and a retirement home, to the Lajosv\u00e1ros group, and even to Mez\u0151k\u00f6vesd, delivering the lunches and supplementary items they receive. Food distribution has been taking place in Eger since 1999, and for the past 14 years, the program has run five days a week. Most recently, they also put together packages of non-perishable food items to go with the hot lunch. Each package contained nine different types of non-perishable food items, much to the delight of those who came to receive them. Our guests can use all of these ingredients to cook for themselves at home.<\/p>\n
