Two cities, a hundred stories, one shared feeling: a spark of hope

This past weekend, "Food for Life" brought a joy to the daily lives of two cities that was a sight to behold.
Volunteers, supporters, families—everyone came together to create the weekend’s touching yet uplifting story.

Szeged – where 280 young children experienced a miracle

Rain was pouring down on Dugonics Square, everyone was cold… and then, all of a sudden, Santa Claus arrived.
Despite the difficult times, forty minutes later a long line was already snaking across the square: children, parents, and grandparents—not only from Szeged but also from the surrounding villages.

Santa Claus personally handed out the packages, then continued on to Domoszló, where they were already waiting for him.
A total of 280 children in need received the surprise.

Eger—where hope was born and became something you could take home

The next day, the Christmas miracle continued in Eger.
Hundreds of people in need arrived—many of whom had perhaps never received this much attention and support before.

Among the donations were:

• generous food packages

• warm clothes

• children's toys

• books that open up new worlds

Everyone took something with them… but in reality, they brought back much more than that: new hope.

Why is all this so moving?

Because there are families for whom Christmas isn't about the lights or the festive atmosphere, but about survival.
For those for whom a package like this isn't just a little help, but proof that they are not alone.

This weekend, warmth found its way into the hearts of hundreds of people—and you can pass it on, too.
