On March 30, the multi-day nationwide food distribution campaign organized for Easter will begin once again. In the cities of Pécs, Budapest, Debrecen, and Szeged, we are preparing food aid for a total of approximately 2,500 people—a vital source of support for countless families in feeding their children during the spring break.
In Pécs, to mark this occasion, a cold package containing 500 kg of non-perishable food, as well as sweets and fruit, will be distributed at the Éltes Mátyás School to children with intellectual disabilities. Students from the Krisna Valley Elementary School will also visit our event to entertain the local students with a short performance. At the end of the program, we will also treat our participants to 120 servings of halava (a traditional Indian sweet) and fresh fruit. Our goal is to provide meaningful support for the physical and mental development of disadvantaged students, which we achieve by distributing delicious sweets and sharing plenty of healing laughter.
At the request of the Pécs Family Support Service, our Foundation is also actively involved in the preparations for a series of fun events being organized for Easter. At nearly 10 locations, children in need who are eager for both adventure and love can join the Easter playhouse programs, including in the towns of Gyód, Kovácsszénája, Téseny, Kisherend, and Romonya. We plan to provide sandwiches, fruit, chocolate, and fresh rosewater lemonade for about 200 children, helping them enjoy the long holiday weekend a little more easily.
The goal of our foundation is to alleviate people’s physical and emotional suffering by distributing nutritious vegetarian meals offered to God. In addition to providing food, we believe it is important to personally address the mental and lifestyle issues of those we support, to the best of our ability. We are delighted that an increasing number of volunteers are joining us in this effort!
