At the end of September, we held an event combined with a food distribution for the students of the Special Education and Development Institute. The residents of the institute are students with disabilities who come from socially disadvantaged families. We organized a program for the young people in collaboration with local teachers.

As we’ve learned, the children aren’t just looking forward to the treats at this time of year—they also really enjoy the music and dance activities. That’s why we prepared an interactive musical show and a dara-halava, and thanks to donations from the Food Bank, we brought chocolate and plant-based milks as gifts for the young students. Since the program provides back-to-school support, thanks to donations from ICO Zrt. and Pátria Nyomda, we brought plenty of writing utensils, markers, paints, crayons, pens, and notebooks; and we were able to purchase any missing school supplies at a discounted price for SOFI’s beneficiaries.
