We are continuing our food distribution efforts in Baranya County, and in this region, we are also helping families living on the vineyards in the smaller villages. This is very important because even in just the few small villages we’ve surveyed, there are more than 100 young children living in severely disadvantaged circumstances, and there are also many low-income retirees. We brought 200 servings of hot food to this region—tarhonya with lecsó and soy—along with bread, stewed plums, and, of course, Gauranga cookies, which the children loved, and of course we sang and played music with them. 🙂
After that, we drove to Pécs, where we distributed 100 meals to a temporary shelter for local families, and we also visited a few families with multiple children who face multiple hardships (e.g., a family raising 8 children in a tiny house) 🙂 We know we can’t always be everywhere, but we do our very best to brighten the day—or even the month—for as many people as possible whenever they meet us.
