More people than last year queued up for Christmas food distributions in the capital this year.
This year, the 1,200 daily rations were no longer enough, the coordinator of the Meals for Life Foundation, which distributes food on Blaha Lujza Square during Christmas, told ReggelInfo. Péterné Szilaj explained that never before in any year has there been such a great interest in food distribution, and unfortunately, the last two days were not enough. Nearly 100 people were left without food, which means that the 3,600 portions of food were not enough for the three days, she added.
