Another 4 metric tons of food aid for crisis-stricken Ukraine

This past Sunday, we delivered another shipment of non-perishable food to Ukraine as a donation, thanks in part to your generous contributions. We received help not only from Hungary but also from abroad, and we delivered nearly 4 metric tons—enough to fill three trucks—of supplies to Uzhhorod, part of which was then transported on to Kyiv. Many people are still living in shelters there.
The western part of Ukraine is seeing a wave of refugees and families— originally from Mariupol and other eastern cities, are putting pressure on western Ukraine; however, supporting them is essential, as fighting continues to flare up in the eastern and central parts of the country.
Our colleagues, the Ukrainian Krishna devotees, and the local “Food for Life” program gratefully received the donations, which included all sorts of treasures and delicacies in addition to non-perishable cooking ingredients.
We’d like to extend a special thank you to our featured donors, Szép Kis India (Exotic India Shop) and Pasta & Pasta Kft., for their generous donations. We also received an entire pallet of rice, which is the perfect accompaniment to all of our main dishes.
In addition to in-kind and monetary donations, you can also support our work through 1% tax donations. You can allocate 2×1 percent of your taxes to one foundation and one church. If our cause is close to your heart, please support our work! <3
