On December 9, our volunteers in Szeged organized a large-scale food drive in collaboration with Szegedi Városkép és Piac Kft. They are already collecting non-perishable food donations for their next food and package distribution at the end of January (January 27), for their next food and package distribution to 200 people, so that they can welcome guests with particularly generous, abundant packages. This will be the final stop of the Christmas Feast of Love, following the large food distribution in Óbuda.
In addition to the many non-perishable food donations, however, fresh produce—including fruits and vegetables—was also collected in the donation boxes, which, of course, cannot wait until January. So the team from Szeged came up with a clever solution: with the help of the local village service, they delivered these items to families in need and elderly residents in Kübekháza.
