The team at the Haré Krishna Food for Life Mission in Eger is racking up awards and accolades one after another. After some 30 years, their efforts seem to be bearing fruit. Time has proven wrong those who doubted that a vegetarian restaurant could succeed and that it would also provide meals for those in need. The Govinda restaurant is becoming more successful with each passing year, and word of its food distribution continues to spread. The following interview is a 15-minute conversation with Omkaranath das, head of the Mission’s Eger branch, and Péter Mikuska, the civilian coordinator.
