The Food for Life Foundation is once again holding a food distribution event in Szeged—this time, for the fifth time. We’d like to give families a little help before school starts, so the next event will take place on August 24 at the Anna Fountain. Wristbands will be available starting at 10 a.m., and lunch will be served starting at noon.
We’ll be welcoming our guests with 200 packages of non-perishable food and nearly 400 servings of hot meals and sweets!
We've once again tried to put together a very generous package: OIL, HONEY, WHEAT GERM, CHOCOLATE/COOKIES, TOMATO PUREE, PASTA, and CANNED YELLOW PEAS/BEANS will be included in the packages, and we’ll supplement these packages with any donations we receive in the meantime. The food items received so far—especially those nearing their expiration dates—have been included in occasional emergency food packages, since life in Szeged doesn’t stop even between the two major distributions.
