350 parcels, 2200 kg of long-life food, one and a half hours. May was a month of new beginnings for us - and right from the start, we proved that coming together works.

The beginning of May was a busy month for our organisation. On 6 May, we opened our new headquarters - and just a few days later, we had our first big food distribution event of the year. We couldn't have asked for a better start.

The occasion was the Food Bank's Spring Durable Food Collection. Last weekend, the Budapest 2200 kg of food - made up of donations from the public donated in supermarkets - we didn't keep them for long: today we distributed them all to families, pensioners and individuals in need.

The event went smoothly, in just under an hour and a half took place in. Guests were able to wait patiently and comfortably in the queue, which moved quickly - thanks to the well thought-out layout and excellent cooperation of all involved. The spaciousness and logistics of the new premises stood up well to the first big test.

We are not slowing down for the future: we are also planning new sites in the 7th district, to reach more and more people in less and less time.
