Toldi Fruit Distribution and the University of California

On Saturday, the Debrecen team visited Told in Hajdú-Bihar County, where they teamed up with the Igazgyöngy Foundation to organize a charity event. The event even inspired a research paper at an American university.

Kata Faludi, the volunteer coordinator, reported on the event as follows:

„We had a special and uplifting day today with the Food for Life Mission team in the village of Told, where we distributed fresh fruit and sweets to the local residents.”.

Once again, dedicated teamwork was the driving force behind this successful day. Árpi Prabhu was with us as well; not only is he one of the most important members of our mission, but he also drove the car today, safely transporting us and the donations to the venue. Our volunteer team today was also joined by Krisna Bhakta, who played an important role in the visit in another way as well. Krisna Lilla Mataji conducted an in-depth interview with him on site. The central themes of the conversation were sustainability and the social and human significance of local food distributions.

This interview was conducted for a special purpose: it will be published as part of a comprehensive academic study by the University of California. It is a great joy and source of pride for us that our local, heartfelt work at Toldon and our model of sustainable aid can now enrich the research materials of a prestigious overseas university. We organized this joint initiative with the Igazgyöngy Foundation. Thank you for this opportunity!

”Thank you to all our volunteers and supporters for helping us make today a better day for the families in Told!"
