The National Food Drive
The year’s largest food drive, organized by the Hungarian Food Bank Association (MÉB), took place from Friday through Sunday. A total of 6,500 volunteers collected donations at 365 stores in 154 towns across the country. The Food for Life team and its volunteers also participated in this campaign. This year, under the direction of the MÉB, a total of 374,428 kilograms of non-perishable food was collected at 365 stores, helping those in need during the holiday season.
Results of the Krishna Food Drive
Over the past three days, we have witnessed an extraordinary outpouring of solidarity, which has resulted in the collection of a substantial amount of non-perishable food for those in need. During the campaign organized in partnership with the Food Bank, many people in Dunakeszi, Budapest, Szeged, and Eger selflessly pitched in to support the citywide series of festive charity meals.

- Tesco on Bécsi Road: 1,520 kg
- Aldi on Huszti Street: 1,352 kg
- Szeged, Aldi: 1,679 kg

We collected a total of 8,625 kg over the course of 3 days.

Venues for the Feast of Love
We will distribute the donations we have collected at three events in the Krishna Love Feast series. The food distribution events will take place on November 30 in Szeged, on December 7 at Garay Square in Budapest, and on December 14 in Eger.
In addition, our events continue to thrive. On December 22 in Debrecen, on December 20 in Bonyhád, and on December 24, 25, and 26—Christmas—in Népliget, we’ll be hosting those in need for the last time this year, and then in the first two weeks of the new year, we’ll be opening our first “Szeretetlakoma” events in Szolnok, Békéscsaba, and even in Budapest. The January events are still being organized.
