On Saturday, we held a special food distribution event in Szeged for 200 people. Our guests snapped up the wristbands very early on. After serving the 200 guests, we were able to provide pre-packaged food parcels to an additional 20 families, and we have continued to prepare new aid packages from the fresh food donations we’ve received for those who find themselves in crisis situations.

We have just distributed the large quantity of non-perishable food that you donated to us in Szeged over the past few weeks, as well as the local donations from the Coop supermarket chain.

The packages contained beets, canned green peas, flour, rolled oats, semolina, rice, milk, granulated sugar, chocolate bars, cookies, candy, Christmas candy, popcorn, and pasta. The hot dish was halava, a favorite Indian vegan dessert, and the main course was bean stew—which our guests enjoyed with great relish.
Thanks to the kind donations, children's shoes and toys also found new homes!
