Our largest rural food distribution site is located in Eger. That’s why we held our biggest Christmas event here during the holidays; our local staff and volunteers prepared meals for 750 people. The recipients consist of families who are already registered and have been assessed by local family support workers; for them, a generous holiday food package offers the opportunity to cook and serves as a true source of family unity. In addition to the generous food package, we distributed a hot lunch, hot tea, plenty of chocolate and holiday treats, as well as organic pumpkins from Krishna Valley to those who arrived. The children were also able to take home stuffed animals and toys.
