We were in the Miskolc-Lyukóvölgy region, which used to be a mining settlement, but later became depopulated and is now home to severely disadvantaged families. Our rural food distribution programme „Like a loaf of bread” helped 100 families this time. In total, we delivered 1 tonne of potatoes and apples, and toys, children's clothes and exercise books for the children and families. This is a rarity here, where people can only rarely afford to buy even the most basic school supplies. We reached the families in the employment centre of the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service, who try to help the children of the families living here with development activities and courses.

But not only did we give, we also got a little surprise. <3 The people here are notoriously hospitable. Our volunteers were given locally picked rosehip jam and linden tea as a gift to lend their kindness.
