In late May and early June, we’ll be hosting Children’s Day events at several locations across the country to delight the little ones and support families.
Óbuda
For the sixth year in a row, we organized a Children’s Day playhouse combined with a food distribution event in Óbuda, in front of the Faluház. Thanks to our partners—the local government, the Összefogás Óbudáért Association, and the Maltese Charity Service—the children were able to enjoy a day full of fun. We distributed 800 food packages and fresh lunches, while the little ones slid down the slide in the bouncy castle, played with the fire truck’s water spray, or had their faces painted. In the “Összefogás” tent, participants received chocolate as a prize for completing skill games.
A lot of vitamins were used up at the Maltese organization’s mobile clinic, and many people had their blood pressure checked.
We hope that our campaign has provided memorable experiences for people of all ages.

To mark Children’s Day, we have organized—and are organizing—special events at locations throughout the countryside. In Debrecen, the traditional weekend food distribution was supplemented with the distribution of books and toys.
Szigetvár
On May 28, we took part in a special Children’s Day event in Szigetvár. The local beach park welcomed children free of charge, and since it was a charitable event, it was only natural that we got involved and joined in. So, to celebrate Children’s Day, we tried to delight the participants with a little treat: 200 servings of halava, Indian sweets, and lemonade found new homes, much to the delight of the little ones. The most wonderful thing about caring for children is that we pass on to them the joy of caring itself, so that they, too, can grow up to be adults who support and help others. What more could you ask for?
Pécs
Our Pécs group held a Children’s Day event to distribute non-perishable food and toys to the most disadvantaged students at Bártfa Street Elementary School. The children eagerly awaited us in the school’s chemistry lab, sitting on top of the desks. We began the program by singing together, which really helped lighten the mood.
How interesting that, as children, caring for others and sharing still come naturally: some would bring toys to their siblings, and one little boy even brought one to his best friend.
