We’re still in the holiday spirit. Photographer György Kerekes spent all three days of Christmas with us at Népliget and documented the events as they unfolded. Faces, portraits, emotions… and among the photos, you might even spot a few celebrities, including some familiar faces from TV. We’d like to thank our volunteers, including the photographers, who joined us during the holiday and documented moments from our festive food distribution, which has been going on for 30 years. The food distributions have evolved significantly over the past decades. We continuously monitor our guests’ needs, requests, and feedback, and we’ve strived to develop a system that minimizes wait times as much as possible. It’s a system that gives special consideration to the elderly, young children, and families, and ensures that high-quality, nutritious meals are packed into bags and served at the table at the end of the process. Over the years, we’ve taught numerous organizations how to organize food distributions, and we, too, are constantly learning and improving. With your help and donations, we’ll be able to do even more in the future. By working together, we can make this world a more humane place.
