Emergency aid

Our organisation is also involved in disaster situations to help victims and rescue workers. As the main activity of our foundation is to provide food, we also provide people affected by tragedies with hot meals, if possible, and if this is not possible, with non-perishable food. Our organisation joins the relief effort after the basic living conditions have been restored, usually in the first week after a disaster, when the majority of those in need have been safely accommodated in a well-defined location. Food will be maintained for as long as deemed necessary by the Disaster Management and then handed over to the forces rebuilding, restoring and replacing personal property. In such crisis situations, supplies can be provided for thousands of people a day, as our volunteers did in the aftermath of the Sri Lankan tsunami, the earthquake in Haiti, the floods in Upper Silesia and the mud slides in Devecser.
