In Debrecen, in the eastern part of the country, there is also a Govinda restaurant run by the Hare Krishnas, where members of our local “Food for Life” program organize a food distribution every Sunday in the restaurant’s garden. For years, our volunteers have been dedicated to cooking and hosting more than 100 people on this beautiful day—they organize this family-style Sunday lunch from the heart, in the spirit of a large family gathering.

We thank our volunteers for their work; they serve our fellow human beings in need with perseverance and dedication throughout the city. The world is a better place with you! Hare Krishna!

But that wasn’t all that happened over the weekend; On Saturday, we also held a special Children’s Day food distribution in Békéscsaba in addition to our usual Saturday activities in Budapest, and on the 27th, we will be welcoming those in need at Garay Square in the 7th district as part of an ecumenical initiative.
