On January 31, 2016, our foundation’s staff in Pécs distributed food at the Vasasi branch of the Budai Városkapu School.
Once again, an exemplary collaboration took place in Pécs. On January 31, 2016, our enthusiastic volunteers held their first food distribution of the year at the Vasasi Branch of the Budai Városkapu School. The target audience consisted of children living in difficult circumstances and their families. The school’s teachers provided invaluable assistance in selecting and notifying those in need, as they were well acquainted with the children’s social circumstances. The 100 servings of hot food were distributed among members of more than 40 families. As we’ve come to expect from our team in Pécs, the menu was once again absolutely delicious. The menu featured Haripriya sabji (a vegetable stew with green peas and homemade cheese), rice, and cocoa halava (a sweet made with butter and semolina); we also distributed bread among the participants.
People welcomed our initiative with great joy and satisfaction, and the success of our efforts was acknowledged by countless „thank yous” and smiles, which gave us the strength to embark on our charitable work for 2016 with enthusiasm and a full set of plans.
Our volunteers provided indispensable assistance with the preparations and the efficient distribution of food, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their kind help!
