Food distribution for 400 people at Garay Square

We’re wrapping up May with another fantastic initiative! Every weekday in Budapest’s 7th District, we serve hot lunches to residents in need. On Earth Day, we also held a special food drive. Now, in cooperation with the local government and as part of a large-scale interfaith initiative, We will be serving a hot lunch—lentil stew and delicious Indian sweets, including halava—to 400 people on Saturday, June 27, at Garay Square, starting at 11:00 a.m.

We’re also preparing small packages to go with lunch; on behalf of Food for Life, we’ll be treating our guests to five different types of non-perishable food items. But other organizations will be bringing surprises as well!

As part of this initiative, we are serving residents of the 7th District first, but we warmly welcome anyone in need. After a short wait, we will be happy to serve everyone as supplies last.

Péter Niedermüller, mayor of Erzsébetváros, and Balázs Szücs, deputy mayor responsible for social affairs, will be participating in the event. Thank you for your active support!
