On Saturday, 22 December, the Meals for Life programme, a mission of the Krishna Conscious Believers of Hungary to feed the poor, will hold a special food distribution in Óbuda. In addition to a delicious hot lunch, those waiting in line will also receive a durable food parcel, toys and sweets.
Christmas distribution in Óbuda
In the run-up to the holidays, the volunteers of the programme want to make this a more meaningful, bearable and hopeful time for those in need and their children, by providing them not only with a delicious hot lunch, but also with a durable food parcel and toys and sweets. The durable food parcels are made up of basic foodstuffs and are not just enough for one day's food, so that even the poorest families can survive the holidays in modest conditions. In addition to the Buda district, the Crisnas are helping those in need in the heart of the capital and in other rural towns with around 6,000 more meals.
