Every weekend in Debrecen, our volunteers distribute hot meals to families living in poverty and in need. The small team prepares these delicious meals as part of their collaborative effort and then serves them to those who come. Yesterday, in addition to the hot lunch, non-perishable food items were also distributed, much to the delight of those who came. Along with basic non-perishable cooking ingredients, the packages also included treats such as chocolate, muesli bars, soft drinks, ketchup, dates, and butter cookies—all of which bring indescribable joy to those living on the bare minimum and forced to budget every forint.
