Last week, the „Like a Bite of Bread” program visited four locations. We distributed 100 servings of hot food in Veszprém and 200 in Tapolca, all prepared by our kitchen in Budapest. The Egymásra Utalva Foundation assisted with the program. In Mikepércs, we distributed 100 servings of minestrone soup, as well as baked goods donated by @Diti Bakery and plenty of fruit.
In Szolnok, 150 servings of hot food (soy stew with pasta) were then served. We were able to offer our guests chocolate muffins and apples to go with the meal. Here, we were able to distribute donations from local businesses. This is especially great because it’s becoming more and more common for us to help families locally using local resources—which means, for example, that the ecological footprint of the food we distribute is smaller.
