No child can go hungry in Óbuda - www.obuda.hu

According to a recent survey, many schoolchildren still go to school on an empty stomach in the morning. In order to provide food for children and needy adults, the municipality has sought and found a solution at the initiative of the mayor.

Recently, several schools have reported that some disadvantaged children arrive at school without breakfast, are not able to pay attention and therefore their performance deteriorates. According to a survey of schools, 594 deprived children need free breakfast.
Sensing the problem, Balázs Bús, the mayor of the municipality, initiated the initiative of the municipality to provide free breakfast for needy children until the end of the 2010/2011 school year, with the involvement of Sodexo. The municipality is spending a total of HUF 2,800,000 to make this happen.
