With the opening of our new food distribution center at our Budapest kitchen, along with the expansion of our daily food distribution, even more high-quality, healthy meals will find their way to the tables of Hungarian families in need.

Thanks to the 1% donations received in recent years, Food for Life was able to purchase a new building, but renovations on our building are still underway. Once the new kitchen and storage facility are completed, this will pave the way for our food assistance program to grow in both quality and quantity. Our goal is to help those in need at more and more locations across the country, expanding the scope of our initiatives in small towns. Our vision is to establish additional rural food distribution centers where we can provide high-quality food to those in need.

Our goal is to expand our fleet and our workforce, as our current employees are already going above and beyond due to their dedication.By increasing our storage capacity, we’ll be able to return more and more rescued food to the food distribution system and onto the tables of families in need. And, of course, we need to set up the new food distribution kitchen, all while facing an economic situation where construction material prices are rising day by day. Since crisis situations have been occurring one after another in recent years, we are essentially racing against time.
But as the past decades have shown, with your support, we were—and still are—capable of even more.
