The "Food for Life" Program Office in Pécs distributed gift packages to 200 families as part of its St. Nicholas Day campaign.
Among those receiving assistance were both children and adults with disabilities. The institutions caring for them turned to the Krishna devotees for help. However, most of the packages were distributed to elementary and secondary schools, where they were used to provide assistance—as recommended by teachers—to children and families in need whom the teachers knew personally, during the cold period leading up to Christmas.
