The Executive Board of the Heves County Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Energy have nominated Mádava Góvinda Kft. for the Heves County Green Economy Award.

In the justification, the restaurant’s commitment to energy efficiency and environmental protection in its operations was highlighted. They highly appreciated the restaurant’s prioritization of sustainability principles: from the selection of ingredients, through culinary techniques, to food delivery and waste management.

The 2022 Decarbonization Award was presented to the managing director of Govinda in Eger: Olivér Nyolcas (nickname: Om) received the award during a ceremonial event on January 25, a few days ago.

This wasn't the first award the restaurant has received; in 2017, it was honored with the Chamber's "Korrekt Partner" award for its ethical conduct, integrity, and fair business practices.

Did you know that this restaurant, as part of the “Hare Krishna Food for Food” program to feed the poor and on behalf of the Foundation, cooks 750 nutritious lunches every day for those in need in Eger?! For this reason, they were also awarded the Civil Society Support Award in 2021 for their work.
