The Crisnans of Eger distribute food - www.egriszin.hu

In response to a request from an association in Nógrád, the Krishnas are helping more people in need through the Meals for Life programme. In the neighbouring county, one in two kindergartners is disadvantaged, and the employment rate for 15-64 year-olds remains the worst in the region.

The volunteers of the programme believe that in order to lift up society, the first step is to help the hungry. They feel it is their duty to help our fellow human beings in need, regardless of their political, ethnic or religious affiliation.

200 children will be provided with a hot meal on 15 December in connection with the Christmas Charity Day at the Community Centre in Kisterenye. The volunteers of the Eger Office of the Food for Life Foundation will distribute a rich supply of bean goulash, bread, hot tea and fruit in a cross-county action.
