We are delighted that, in early July, we were able to officially open the permanent premises of our Pécs location. A space measuring just 44 m2The Foundation's warehouse is located in a centrally located storefront.
On the opening day, as a gesture of celebration, we distributed 108 packages of non-perishable food to families selected by the local family assistance service. The packages contained rice, flour, pasta, canned corn and green peas, as well as Neapolitan cookies and boxed soft drinks for the children. At the same time, we gave interested visitors a tour of the decorated room.
The opening ceremony continued into the afternoon, where Sára Beáta Gömöriné (Syamajiu dd.) and László Lenkovits (Devi Deva d.) welcomed the participants on behalf of the Hungarian Society for Krishna Consciousness. During the program, both the achievements to date and future goals were discussed.
In Pécs, we organize large-scale food distributions on a monthly basis, during which hundreds of servings of hot meals, sweets, and packages of non-perishable food are distributed. The new facility will primarily serve as a warehouse, but since it will be open regularly, it will also be possible to hand over donations intended for the foundation to our staff.
