More earthquakes in Turkey, but food distribution continues!

Cooking tips from the "Food for Life" team's campsite in Turkey. South of Antakya, the Krishna devotees distributing food have set up camp in the garden of a kind family. The weather is getting milder, but temperatures still drop below freezing at night. At the same time, this night was made unforgettable by a 5.1-magnitude earthquake, unfortunately in a negative sense, causing quite a scare—it is no coincidence that our food distributors sleep under the open sky, as the partially damaged buildings could collapse even from a minor tremor.

Water is poured from a large tank into plastic bottles and used to fill the cauldrons, thereby avoiding the need to use water from local wells.

You can also support the work of the Turkish-Hungarian food distribution team! Attila Szanyi-Karl, the foundation’s director, is reporting from the scene. The team is distributing more than 1,000 meals a day in the region through the end of the week.
