The Meals for Life programme has made food distribution in Eger a daily occurrence since mid-March, and the team in Debrecen will be increasing the number of portions in the near future. In the capital, Krishna devotees will hold a special festive food distribution for 1,500 people on Saturday, 30 March, on Blaha Lujza Square, on the occasion of Easter.
Every day, Meals for Life launches a food distribution in Eger. On Easter Saturday, another special action for the needy will take place in the capital. Krishna believers are already serving over 400 000 meals a year.
Meals for Life's goal for 2013 is to maintain regular food distributions in Budapest and to help people in need in more and more places in the countryside. The Egri Office, founded in 1999, implements the Foundation's life-saving objectives in the socially disadvantaged region of Northern Hungary, in cooperation with local providers and local government bodies.
