We're collecting food this weekend!

Tonight, May 12, and all day Saturday, May 13, we will be collecting food with the help of two department stores in the capital. We are carrying out this program in partnership with the Hungarian Food Bank Association, thanks to whom we are able to deliver hundreds of tons of non-perishable food to those in need each year. But right now, we’re waiting for your in-store donations! 🙂 You can find Food for Life volunteers at the ALDI on Huszti Road and the TESCO in Fót. If you’re in the area and doing your weekend grocery shopping here, please think of us—you can help our food drives even with just a few non-perishable items, in addition to tax donations to 1%. 😉

Our next featured event will take place on May 27 in the 7th District, at Garay Square. There, in cooperation with the Erzsébetváros Local Government and in partnership with other religious denominations, we will participate in an ecumenical initiative. We will be providing non-perishable food items and hundreds of hot meals to those in need.

Of course, in the meantime, you can count on us every day. If you’re hungry, the easiest thing to do is to stop by our distribution point in Népliget, next to the Planetarium, every weekday between noon and 1 p.m.
But every day we provide 1,120 meals to shelters in the capital, and we also distribute food in Eger and Somogy County, as well as in Debrecen on Sundays.

If you support our mission, please help us in our work. Please remember us when filing your taxes using the code 2X1%! 🙂
Thank you very much!
