For five days, the Krisna Food for Life Foundation distributes hot meals, bread, apples and yoghurt to needy people in the district, families with young children and people living below the minimum subsistence level. This year, they received the district's Ágoston Fischer Award on Social Work Day (Local Topic - 24 November 2010).

Free breakfast for children in need
The local authority of District III has been cooperating for years with the Meals for Life charitable foundation founded by the Krishna Consciousness Community of Believers Church of Hungary to alleviate the situation of the needy. So far, thousands of needy people have received free hot meals through the food distribution programmes.

For many of the large families, the unemployed and pensioners, the only way to avoid hunger is through charitable food distributions. The Christmas food distribution of the Krishna Consciousness Community of Believers in Hungary had even more people than last year (Péterfy Balázs, Magyar Nemzet; December 2009).
