21 metric tons of potatoes from the Óbuda municipal government
We received 21 metric tons (!) of potatoes from the Óbuda-Békásmegyer Municipal Government. <3 This generous donation arrived last week, and it’s simply wonderful because potatoes are an excellent cooking ingredient—we can use them as a base or to enrich a wide variety of hearty, warm dishes. Újabb óriási akciót tudhat maga mögött a „Mint egy falat kenyér program”. 650 adag meleg ebéddel, kelkáposzta főzelékkel, friss pékáruval vártuk vendégeinket Mezőszemere-Szihalom térségében. Mellé ajándékként cukor, tej, gyümölcslé, kukoricapufi, müzliszelet, Gauranga csokis keksz került a csomagokba. Our „Like a Bite of Bread” program visited Szolnok. This time, we helped 200 people, including 94 children! We were able to hold the food distribution in the courtyard of a local preschool, and our guests had been eagerly awaiting it. As usual, the packages contained useful non-perishable food staples—such as milk, oil, flour, and sugar—as well as treats like chocolate and granola bars. The „Like a Bite of Bread” program is helping out with summer initiatives. On June 16, in Veszprém and Tapolca, we provided hot meals and non-perishable food to a total of 131 families. On Wednesday, June 20, we visited Lyukóvölgy in Miskolc. This was the second time we organized a distribution of hot meals and non-perishable food in collaboration with the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service. Once again, the day was filled with a wonderful atmosphere, and the local volunteers were already waiting for us, fully prepared.
