The country's largest food drive for non-perishable items is coming up this weekend
Among the participating stores, the “Food for Life” campaign will welcome donors at the Aldi on Huszti Street in Dunakeszi and at the Tesco on Bécsi Road. The Food for Life Public Benefit Foundation has also launched its food distribution program in Szeged. Our first food distribution will take place on November 25 at 12:00 p.m. at the Anna Fountain. Hundreds of kilograms of rescued food on the table
We received several hundred kilograms of high-quality, fresh button mushrooms from the Hungarian Food Bank. We delivered 250 kg of this to our office in Eger, but we also took some to Népliget in Budapest, where our guests waiting in line gratefully accepted them, as they can be used to prepare an excellent dinner or lunch for the next day. We don’t use mushrooms in our cooking, but since they are a plant-based ingredient, we are happy to distribute them to our guests in need. […]
Children's Day Surprises in the Eger Region
Not only did we wrap up May with Children’s Day events, but we also kicked off June that way. Our volunteers in Eger visited a local preschool that serves children facing multiple disadvantages. The volunteers brought the little ones LEGO sets, treats, and candy as gifts, which the children were very happy to receive.
